Annual Wounded Warrior Run begin their 600 km journey from Port Hardy to Victoria

The Wounded Warrior Run BC have begun their 600 km journey from Port Hardy to Victoria. The team left Port Hardy on Monday and will be running the length of Vancouver Island.

A team of dedicated runners be taking part in the relay run. Covering the length of Vancouver Island for six consecutive days, starting Monday, 22 Feb 2016 and finishing Sunday, 28 Feb 2016.

The non-profit group helps Canadian Forces members, serving and retired, who have been wounded or injured in their service to Canada. Their primary focus is on mental health and, particularly, the staggering impact of PTSD and Operational Stress Injuries.

The Wounded Warriors Canada created the “Wounded Warrior Run BC” to help build awareness of PTSD and increase financial support.

Here is the schedule for the last day in case any of you would like to cheer them on or even join the runners as they finish the run:

Last Day Mill Bay, BC to Victoria, BC
08:15 am – Depart (Serious coffee Mill Bay)

09:30 am Arrive at the Legion Langford BR #91,
(Prince Edward 761 Station Ave)

11:44 am Arrive at the Legion BR ‪#‎292Trafalgar‬/Pro Patria

02:02 pm Arrive at BC Legislature

03:00 pm Arrive at CFB Esquimalt main gate

03:30 pm Arrive at View Royal Fire Station

04:00 pm Arrive at Saunders Subaru Celebration of run
