Share

The first annual Santa Scoot happens this Saturday, December 19th.

A parade of Vespas and scooters decked out for Christmas will scoot around town starting at Market Square. They will then return a short time later where they will be collecting donations.

The parade will begin at Famoso (Market Square and Johnson) at 11 am(ish) then will
scoot around James bay, Beacon Hill Park, Fairfield, Oak Bay and down again to Government to end in Market Square. There they will have an old style slide and will collect toys and donations.

All donations and proceeds from this day will go to the Help Fill a Dream Foundation.

At noon all the scooters will rally in Market Square for a fundraising pizza party and everyone is invited.  There will be live music, activities for the kids including ginger bread houses, princesses and gingerbread characters. A family friendly event with live music by Reuben Wier.

A fire truck and Santa will show up around one o’clock to delivery a very special gift to Andrei. “He’s affected by Type 1 Juvenile diabetes and we’ll be able to surprise him,” Luca Orlandi, general manager of Famoso tells Victoria Buzz.

SG Power will also be present with new Vespa models and there will be a raffle by donation for a great Phillips Brewery gift basket.

Famoso Pizzeria Market Square will donate $1 for every pizza sold December 19th.

Both donations of toys and money are accepted.
